Career and Background
I have been in the financial industry for 2 decades. After only a few years in the mortgage industry, I co-founded a mortgage company and built it to managing over 150 employees and funded over 500 million in new loans. We had an extremely successful 6 year run and my business partner made me an offer for half of the company in 2007.
I then decided to work for Morgan Stanley where I obtained my Securities license. After I had completed the training the stock market crashed. I quickly decided that wasn’t for me and went to work for a direct lender as a loan officer and within 6 months I was promoted to branch manager. I worked there for 5 years and built 2 successful branches before I was approached by a few other companies. I ended working in management for another mortgage company for 5 years until they promoted ideas that went against my ethics and values.
In 2022, I decided to start my own mortgage company that represents Christian family values, STREOS Lending at www.StreosLending.com. The name STREOS is derived from the English word Strength and the Greek word for Christ which is Christos. Combining the two words led to the name STREOS which means Strength in Christ. I have summarized some of my favorite positive and inspirational Bible verses in a book I recently published that is available for free on my website www.StrengthinChrist.net.
Throughout my mortgage career I have developed many friendships with realtors and recently in 2024 I decided to obtain my Tennessee Real Estate license and join Coldwell Banker. I decided instead of referring clients to local realtors that I would like to meet clients face to face and help them find the home of their dreams. In addition to my experience in real estate, mortgages, investing, and religious study; my father was a corporate accountant for 40 years and taught me many things about finance. I have been married to my wife, Kristin Neumann, for 17 years. We have lived in middle Tennessee for 9 years and currently live in Brentwood, TN along with our 3 children.
